fuzzy like peaches

You know what's awesome? Looking in the attic and finding out that you have floss the exact same shade as the cloth you want to sew on. Invisible stitches, chyeahh.

That fuzzy cloth used to be a sweater thing. I'm making it into something kooky and vintage, you know, the kind you can't really decide about? Kind of ugly but awesome at the same time.

This scarf? I cut up a sweatshirt into strips, and then crocheted it. I was deciding between a scarf, a rug, or potholders. I went with the scarf. Still thinking about it, since it leaves little bits of fluff all over my clothes.

I like my room in the late afternoon. The light is perfect, and I just want to sit there and think about things.

Like, how strange is my expression here?

I found a lot of this perfect golden-colored faux leather in the attic. I think my mom used it to make book covers or something. Anyway, I thought it would be nice if I cut them into leaf shapes... and then I wondered what to do about them for a few days, and then I had an idea.

I made a bracelet. And it is now my new favorite bracelet in all the world:

It looks particularly lovely with my nails. Seafoam green, rather messily applied.

Now my brain is practically spilling over with ideas. Leaves? Smaller leaves! Multitudes of leaves! Feathers! Flowers. Owls! No, skulls. Skull owls! ...wait, what?

A friend of ours had his film developed and this came out! It's my sister and I. I love this so much, for some reason we look so... calm. Ha.

I'm going to print it out really huge and hang it up in my room.

tidying up

I'm cleaning my room. For our craft party tomorrow. My mom is pretty sure that people will want to go and check my space out, so...

I found these whilst cleaning out my shelves. I couldn't resist them, all piled into a sale basket at Divisoria. I wish everything were still packaged like this.

These fonts. I have to get some like them, and label all my things.

I've been crazy busy lately, working on decor and desserts for a debut. Everything is pink. It's ridiculously fun. I can't wait to show you all the photos.

I've been obsessed with fashion blogs lately. Don't get me wrong, I love fashion forever - I'm taking up fashion design, for goodness' sakes - but I go through pretty intense phases, like that one month I got into basket making and filled all the large non-porous containers in our house with water and filled them with branches.*

Anyway. One blog I'm obsessively checking is Karla's. I love her to distraction. She's the reason I bought heels the other day (I never buy heels.) (Ever.) even if there were a bundle of lovely comfy cheap flats at the mall:
